All specialty classes, both one-on-ones and group lessons, are now offered by request in either an in-person or digital formal. Donna is prepared to deliver safe in-person classes and/or informative virtual lessons to students however they’re most comfortable. This slight change in our scheduling process has come as a result of ongoing public health concerns and developing guidelines.
Feldenkrais and Yoga both promote stability and oneness in the physical and mental self. Both use movement and breath and help to develop awareness, improving skeletal support, increasing muscular efficiency, and support the idea that beautiful movement emerges from good organization.
Where they differ is in yoga’s direction to identify and push limits, as opposed to Feldenkrais’ intent on exploring existing relationships between parts of body and mind, and to improve upon their efficiency.
In this class, we will explore how Awareness Through Movement and Asana intersect and complement each other.
